Owning a vehicle was considered a luxury, nowadays, it’s a necessity. Especially in rural areas, as these areas have no access to transit services. Transportation is essential for many individuals with no other means to reach healthcare, employment, the grocery store and other crucial services. Many individuals find themselves needing a vehicle but are unable to afford one. Fortunately, Middleton’s Village to Village Foundation recognizes this and are trying to bridge that gap by providing people in need with reliable transportation.

It all began with an idea after hosting a Thanksgiving food drive in Andrews, S.C.

Eliot apologized to the many bystanders that were not able to receive food donations. While speaking with these individuals, he then realized that they walked for miles to attend the food drive and were leaving with nothing. Thus, birthing the idea to trade cars for ribs! Eliot solicited the idea on Facebook and was taken up on his offer. He was able to donate the very first vehicle (a Toyota Camry) to a very deserving single mother.
